underhook escape from side control - to prevent him from mounting, use short explosive popcorn bridges. - if it doesn't work the first time, keep using short explosive popcorn bridges.
hug around chest guard pass for butterfly guard. There is a pic series on the club site for this. - If he keeps his hook in, pass your knee over his leg then sprawl to remove the hook. - If he puts his shin across your waist, pass your knee over his leg then sprawl to remove the shin. - When your hips are low, he will try to hook his foot in like taking the back. To counter this, put your hips back up high, and finish the pass normally.
arm drag from the butterfly guard.

underhook escape from side control - If you start with no posture, bridge and as you drop get your arms into posture with the space created during the drop. - first the arm at the hip, then the arm at the neck, then the arm swims under to the underhook.
anti-noob stuff:
If he can openers you, either push on his face or hook inside of the leg and armbar.
If he puts his forearm on your throat, arm triangle. Hook sweep if you can't finish.
If he tries to americana you in your guard, arm triangle. Hook sweep if you can't finish.
If he tries to hold you close and stall with head and underhook, do the elbow press. pinch your knees around his shoulder.
If he tries to do the same thing, but also stands up and drops all his weight on you, hook sweep him to mount.

3/2
underhook escape from side control - If your left arm is underhooking, pull your right elbow to the mat and turn on your right side. This prevents him from getting the scarf hold on you.
armbars from side control:
spin around armbar: underhook, pull him up on his side, spin around.
armbar from when you are doing the kimura on top of north south.
armbar when he is doing a kimura on you from his guard. Jump over his legs and spin around.
armbar escape by spinning away to your knees.
armbar partner drill where you do the escape, then armbar your partner and he does the escape, etc.
pull an armbar from the neutral position starting from the knees.

Sat 3/4.
underhook escape from side control: - if he sprawls his legs away from you, grab a single leg and spin towards his back. Either bodylock him or limp arm out of his whizzer.
hip bump/kimura/guillotine combo.
hip bump: sit up as he sits up, shoulder, elbow, hand. Try to flip him in place.
kimura: try to get his arm high first before cranking, so he doesn't feel tempted to roll.
guillotine: Steering wheel finish. If your left arm is around his neck, then drop your left elbow as you lift your right elbow high.
Jedi mind trick: if he hugs around your body, grab your own shin and push your elbow down on the back of his head. He will feel compelled to look up. Guillotine or crucifix when he does.
