You can get good deals on gis at the following places: www.howardliu.com/catalog/bjj/single.htm^ I highly recommend them and I bough several of their cheapest gis. They are not cheap quality and are durable as a rock!!! kodokangear.com/adidas-jujitsu-uniform.html^ I know a few people who like their light weight, training gi. The medium weight training gi is probably more durable, but it is slightly more expensive too. www.kagisports.com/clubsport.html^ I heard they have good cheap gis. They seem slightly more expensive, but you do get a nice belt with it. There are bigger, more expensive brands like Atama, Bad Boy, Gameness, and others who make better gis. HCK, Adidas, and Kagi also make better gis than their starter gis. Feel free to buy one of them if you wish too. These are just starter gis if you just started wearing a gi and are not sure if you will like it or not. I can also lend you a gi to wear at practice if you are around 165-145 in weight and around 5'-5'10" in height. I think gi practices are very good for developing good grappling. It's like doing freestyle to help folkstyle, and vice versa in wrestling. They make you think differently about your game.
