Arg! I didn't expect the tourney; I should have just fought smarter and known my limitations. If I won that match against Xander then there would have been a three-way tie. It would screw the rankings, but I like being a monkey wrench. Next time then...

Don't sweat the results too much. The tournament was a totally spontaneous thing that I came up with as a fun way to end the semester. I should probably put a note at the bottom of the page stating as much so the results don't look too official.
My match against you was a really tough one. You threw me with ura nage very well to go up 2-0. I got to the guard and tried to sweep you into the mount a bunch of times, but you kept a good base and kept threatening to pass my guard. When I went for the armbar, it was really a desperation move. I was getting exhausted preventing you from passing my guard, so I figured that I would just throw the armbar because at least that had a chance at winning. I pretty much got lucky on it.
I thought the tournament was pretty fun all and all. Next semester I'll plan them out a little better and give everyone advance notice.

Don't worry about me worrying about the results. I don't take much seriously - hence the and the . Fascinating that you were getting exhausted preventing me from passing your guard, since I was getting exhausted trying to pass the guard! What's a ura nage? I thought that was just the `standard` throw. Next time I'm tempted to fight more strategically and work for more points than submissions. Tthat doesn't seem as honorable as in wrestling, so I don't really want to do it.
